1Are Credit Cards accepted on board?
Yes, credit cards are accepted – Visa, MasterCard and  American Express
2Are wetsuits included? 
Wetsuits are not included. We charge $10 per person per day for hire.
3Are they shorty or long? And do you have children’s sizes?
They are shorty and yes, we have children’s sizes.
4Is there access to WIFI on board?
There is no internet connection on board. If passengers have data roaming plans, they can connect to cell signals when on or close to the larger islands like Santa Cruz. 
5What are your guidelines for tips? 
Gratuities are a very personal matter, highly dependent on the service received, experience enjoyed and client’s satisfaction. Our suggestions are as follows:
Crew:  $12 – 15 per day – per person
Guide: $18 – 20 per day – per person
6What is your child policy? 
We are very happy to have children on board and have children’s lifejackets for the dinghy rides. We kindly request parents sign a release.
7What type of food is served on board? 
We offer three different menus. We are able to cater for special dietary requirements. Please let us know of your requirements.
8Are alcoholic or soft drinks available on board? 
We offer free water, tea and coffee. Soft and alcoholic drinks are not included but they can be purchased at the bar. 
9Can I take alcohol on board? How many bottles per passenger? 
Windrose allows clients to bring one bottle of liquor or wine per couple. 
10What is the corkage fee? 
The corkage fee is $ 20 per bottle.
11What is the smoking policy? 
Smoking is not allowed on board Windrose or on islands within the National Park.
12Do you have beach towels? 
Yes, we offer towels without charge.
13Can I purchase my own flights? 
You are welcome to book your own flights. If you are booking a package, we recommend we book the flights to ensure the operation goes smoothly.
14Which airport do you recommend?
Windrose operates from Santa Cruz Island, either from the port of Puerto Ayora or the Itabaca Channel (between Santa Cruz and Baltra islands). If you fly to San Cristóbal Island from the Ecuadorian mainland, you will need to take a speed boat-shuttle that connects with Puerto Ayora.
15Voltage Types on the yacht? 
We have both 110 V and 220 V outlets. However, Ecuador uses 110 V, two-flat US-style plugs.

General Galapagos FAQ

1Can you use flash photography?
The National Park rules warn against the use of flashes on phones and cameras.
2What currency is used in Ecuador? 
Ecuador uses the US dollar.
3What are the luggage restrictions for the Galapagos flight?
Max 23 kg (50 lb) per person (1 piece) and one more regular size carry-on bag of 8 kg (18 lb) allowed.
4Is the sun strong?
Yes, extremely. We are right on the Equator. Even on a cloudy day, you can easily get burnt. Best to use plenty of sunblock, sunhats, sunglasses and long-sleeved shirts/T-shirts.
